SIAM (UK and Republic of Ireland Section) Prize

The SIAM UKIE prize was awarded to Martin Viscor (NUI Cork) for his paper "A singularly perturbed parabolic problem that degenerates on one boundary"

The conference organisers welcome SIAM UKIE's sponsorship of a prize for the best student presentation at BAIL2008.

The UK/RoI SIAM Student Presentation Prizes are awarded to the student(s) who make the most outstanding presentation at the BAIL 2008 conference. This award is based solely on the presentation and content of the student’s contribution to the meeting.

Eligibility

Eligibility is restricted to students in good standing who have not received their postgraduate degree at the time of the conference. The conference organisers may ask contributors to provide evidence of student status. Submissions may be based on co-authored papers, but the prize will be allocated solely on the contribution of the presenting author.
